Library PC Computer Lab
Located on the upper level of the library.
Sometimes the lab is reserved for library instruction - class times will be posted on the entrance to the library and by the lab door.
12 computers running Windows XP and 1 black & white printer.
All computers support CD-R/RW’s, 3.5” floppies, and USB flash drives for backing up your files.
The library does not have discs for sale.
Please use the library's Listening Center for music and video.

IMPORTANT: Do not use lab computers for permanent file storage. The computers are networked, so files are public access and anyone in the lab can read or delete files. Files may also be periodically deleted by Information Technology staff.

Use the lab computers for temporary file storage when editing, printing or when you want to attach files to an email. Emailing files to yourself is the best thing to do when you don't have a disc or flash drive with you to save your work.

Wireless Network - Wireless Internet access for laptops is available. Access to the student network is PC and Mac compatible. You must register your laptop with the Information Technology office, Rm 106, to gain access to the student network.

Ethernet Hookup - Ethernet Internet plugs for laptops are available at study tables. You must register your laptop with the Information Technology office, Rm 106, to gain access to the student network. You'll need an eternet cable. The library has a limited number of cables available for check-out.

About Printing - You will not be able to print directly from your laptop, whether using wireless or ethernet hookup. Send your document to your email account and then go to one of the Cornish Student labs. Connect to your email account from one of the lab computers and print your document using the lab printer.

CD-ROM Station - There is one dedicated CD-ROM station for using various reference programs such as the Oxford English Dictionary, Shakespeare Monologue database, and others.
