Pay Grade: Assistant or Associate Professor ranking commensurate with education and experience. Full-time
Purpose:Teach a full-time course load at all levels of an Illustration BFA program, with the ability to teach in secondary areas such as Foundations, Graphic Design or Motion Design.
Responsibilities:1. Teach all levels of Illustration with possible teaching assignments in secondary areas such as Foundations, Graphic Design or Motion
2. Participate in core faculty institutional service, including:
• Participating in departmental and college governance
• Participating in formal advising and mentorship of design students
• Conducting formal portfolio reviews of prospective students
• Mentoring adjunct instructors
• Participating in curriculum development
3. Maintain ongoing professional practice
4. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Submit by mail both a hard copy print and a digital copy (on your CD) of a single, multi-page PDF document, including the following materials: official Cornish Employment Application; letter of application; curriculum vitae; teaching philosophy; sample syllabi; and names, phone numbers, and email addresses for three references.
Also submit by mail: minimum 15 images of professional work with descriptions, minimum 15 images of student work (with descriptions) on a CD or DVD. Only complete submissions will be considered.
