Compensation $31,000 - $34,000 Annually

Work Schedule

Purpose

Provides local, regional, and national recruitment for the College

Job Responsibilities

  1. Represents the College at various high schools, community colleges, on- and off-campus recruiting events
  2. Communicates with individual prospects and applicants through mail, e-mail and phone contact throughout the recruitment process to the enrollment stage including:
    • providing the appropriate follow-up from recruiting events
    • conducting in-office prospect interviews and campus tours for individuals, families, and groups
    • counseling prospects regarding auditions and portfolio reviews
  3. Analyzes prospect database to qualify potential student interest in enrollment at the College
  4. Collaborates with Director, Associate Director and colleagues in determining appropriate strategic response in order to generate applicants
  5. Assists Director, Associate Director and Data Coordinator in the coordination of all recruiting activities, presentations and communication methods
  6. Provides financial aid counseling for applicants and new students by:
    • explaining federal aid process
    • identifying available scholarships
    • assisting with application process
    • explaining award letters
    • providing budget counseling
  7. Processes all status changes of applicants through to the enrollment stage
  8. Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation
  • Attentive to detail
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to think independently and have strong problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 10 weeks per year by car and air
  • Must own car, have auto insurance, and Washington State driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Ability to work and travel on weekends
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, i.e. recruitment materials
  • A commitment to multicultural perspectives and ability to relate well with a diverse community
  • Must pass background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years related experience
  • Degree or background in an artistic discipline
  • Experience using computerized database systems
  • Experience working in a not-for-profit, higher education or arts environment
