Kimball MacKay

Kimball MacKay has an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College. His poetry has been published in as Arts & Letters, The Crab Creek Review, The Journal, Spoon River Quarterly, Fine Madness, Willow Springs Review, Green Mountains Review, The Seattle Review, and other journals, and has been recognized by the Seattle Arts Commission’s Individual Artists Program and the Artist Trust/Washington State Arts Commission Fellowship. He has taught in California’s Poets-in-the-Schools program and for the University of Washington Extension program, Seattle Central Community College, and City College in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 1999, he received the Cornish Teaching Excellence Award and in 2003 was a Fulbright Senior Scholar, teaching American literature in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Since 1996, Kim has been the Cornish liaison to and a member of the executive committee of the Consortium on the Liberal Education of Artists. At Cornish, where he’s been a member of the faculty since 1990, he teaches Integrated Studies, Literature, Creative Writing and interdisciplinary courses. He is also President of the Cornish Federation of Teachers.
