Carolyn Hall joined the Integrated Studies faculty at Cornish College of the Arts in 2008. She has taught many places, including Antioch University and The Richard Hugo House. She taught for many years in The Seattle Public Schools, where she was awarded the 1985 Excellence in Education Award for her work as head teacher at The Gypsy Alternative School, the only school in the US for the Roma. She is also an independent writing consultant and editor. Carolyn earned a BA degree in Liberal Arts from The Evergreen State College. She completed her MA in Human Development/Education at Pacific Oaks College. She has studied art and writing at The University of Washington, Cornish, The Factory of Visual Arts, Pratt, and The Hugo House. She is an alumna of Hedgebrook on Whidbey Island. Carolyn is a writer and artist whose interests include book design, photography, jewelry and trash art fashion. Her designs were featured at The Intiman Theater’s fashion runway show, The Next Fifty, summer, 2012. Her novel, Rose Concannon, will be published in 2015.
