Alex Morrow teaches social science courses with an emphasis on American history, labor studies, and globalization. He earned his B.A. and M.A. at the University of Oregon. He is a contributing editor to the Seattle Civil Rights and Labor History project at the University of Washington, where he is completing work on his Ph.D. in the department of history. Emphasizing transnational flows of labor that converged on the Pacific Coast of the United States, his dissertation examines the history of day laborers in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. He commutes to the college on his bike, plays soccer, and is a research consultant for the Museum of History and Industry. Alex is a recipient of the Harry Bridges Labor Studies Fellowship and was a research fellow at the West Coast Poverty Center.
