Extension Programs: Scholarships
Summer at Cornish is committed to making our courses available to youth ages 14 – 18 who demonstrate artistic and academic promise, financial need, and interest in the program by offering modest scholarship assistance. Scholarship funds are limited, therefore awards are competitive. Students are encouraged to submit materials as soon as possible.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like information about scholarships.Scholarship applications and materials are due no later than May 8. Scholarship award notifications are sent no later than May 22.
Due to the volume of scholarship applications we receive, incomplete and/or late applications will not be reviewed.
There are three scholarship opportunities in the Preparatory Dance Program. The Gwenn Barker Endowed Scholarship Fund, Jeanne Marie Klepper Endowed Scholarship Fund and Institutional Scholarships.
The Barker and Klepper endowed funds provide scholarships for students who have the potential for a professional dance career and who show a passion for the art form. Students are chosen to receive these scholarships by Prep Faculty members and the Director.
Institutional Scholarships are given to Preparatory Dance students who have completed at least one year of instruction at the school and demonstrate need. It is important that you ask about the possibility of receiving an institutional scholarship during the spring semester prior to the fall semester. Do not wait until the end of summer to inquire.
