Dive into the magnificent world of mixed chamber music, and hone your ensemble and performance skills while learning masterworks of the repertoire. High school and college age winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn), strings (violin, viola, cello, doublebass), and piano students are all encouraged to enroll. Mornings will be dedicated to rehearsal and coaching. Afternoons will bring everyone together for large chamber ensemble and masterclass settings. We'll also practice performing for each other and offering constructive critique. Players will be matched in ensembles by ability and experience to create dynamic and cohesive ensembles.
This course is designed for winds (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn), strings (violin, viola, cello, doublebass), and piano students, ages 14+, already playing at an intermediate or advanced level.
Monday through Saturday, 9:00am to 4:00pm with a break for lunch, and a concluding performance scheduled for Saturday, July 29th in PONCHO Concert Hall on the Cornish campus.
