Extension Programs: Art & DesignSummer at Cornish’s Art & Design program offers a rigorous pre-college program and a number of exciting intensive studio experiences for students ages 14 to 18 who want to explore the visual arts in a professional art school setting.
You will hone your skills, learn new techniques from working artists and meet other students passionate about the visual arts. With a variety of program offerings, Summer at Cornish provides the perfect platform to expand your knowledge, grow as an individual, develop strong portfolio pieces, potentially earn college credit, and get a real taste of college life. July 10 – August 4
Summer at Cornish is a four-week pre-college program to prepare you for a first-year art school experience. To earn two college credits, enroll in EP110 Art and Design Foundations as well as two elective courses. Elective options include EP023 Comics, EP013 Life Drawing, EP006 Bend, Spark, Weld, EP032 Digital Photography and EP041 Introduction to Graphic Design. Students enrolled in EP100 are also automatically enrolled in EP007 Portfolio Development at no additional cost.
EP007 Portfolio Development can also be taken as a single course for those students solely interested in portfolio development.
At the conclusion of the program on August 4, 2017 students will present a final exhibition of their artwork.
