Laptop Computer Recommendations

All incoming students are required to purchase a laptop upon entering the Cornish College Design Department, and each discipline within Design has a set of recommended computer hardware and software specifications. These specifications are determined using the current technology industry standards in each discipline. We recommend these systems to ensure our students are using the same software and hardware working professionals are using in the field. Adobe Creative Suite

Every student needs to buy the Adobe CS3 Design Premium and have it installed on their computers by the first day of classes.

The suite is available for purchase during New Student Registration and Housing Workshop June 21-22 or July 19-20. The suite will also be available in August the week before classes start. Cornish sells CS3 to students for $325. We do not stock the suite on a regular basis. It is only available during fall registration.

You may also purchase from any Authorized Adobe Reseller for $600.00. To find a local reseller, go to Adobe website, from the drop-down list under the Purchase tab at the top and choose "other ways to buy" and then "Find an Education Reseller" from the list on the left and use the search tool to locate an Adobe Education Reseller near you.

Education Resellers will ask for enrollment verification, so make sure to have documentation such as a student ID or your letter of Admission to Cornish when you visit their store.
