Mary Ann Lee received her music education at the Conservatory of Music, University of Missouri at Kansas City where she studied for a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance under Dr. Wiktor Labunski, Artist-Emeritus-in-Residence and international authority on Frédéric Chopin.  Mary Ann has extensive experience as a pianist for Ballet and Modern dance at university and professional levels.  In 1996, she was invited to Germany as guest company pianist for Ballett Frankfurt, under Artistic Director William Forsythe.  She has been pianist for workshops with David Howard, Patricia Stander, and Bill Evans, as well as pianist for master classes with Hervé Palito, Compañía Nacional de Danza; Tadej Brdnik, Martha Graham Dance Company; Robert Swinston, Merce Cunningham Dance Company; and Kraig Patterson, Mark Morris Dance Group.  Mary Ann has played company classes for Nacho Duato’s Compañía Nacional de Danza, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Feld Ballets/NY and Hubbard Street Dance Company.  Currently she is a staff pianist for Cornish College and Preparatory Dance Programs as well as the University of Washington Dance Program.  She maintains interests in teaching, composing, musical theater and choral ensembles.  Mary Ann is presently organist and pianist for Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle.
