In the event of inclement weather, power outages, delayed openings, early closures, or any other event that requires notification to the entire community, Cornish will activate several notification systems. In cases of inclement weather, such as snow, the campus community should use their best judgment about how safe it is to travel based on the conditions near their homes.
Information on early closing, delayed start, or closure will be posted on the first page of the website and sent via campus email to students, faculty, and staff.

Look for information on Cornish College of the Arts' main Facebook page and Twitter account. These are usually posted after information is placed on the website and emailed or texted to the community.
Cornish College of the Arts alerts television and radio stations to closures or delays via FlashAlert. AM radio stations KIRO 710 and KOMO 1000 and FM stations KPLU 88.5 and KUOW 94.9 will post snow closure announcements on their websites or read on air. Local television stations KOMO, KING, KIRO, KONG, and KCPQ also announce school closure notifications. Information is typically posted on television web sites. Students, faculty and staff may register for free e-mail notifications for FlashAlert.
