The BOOST dance festival is focused on creating opportunities for Seattle contemporary dance artists of all genres to showcase their work alongside their peers with an ever-broadening audience. The hundreds of artists that call the Northwest home compete each year to be showcased in a handful of festivals; the competition is tough, leaving many eligible and talented artists to self-produce at a high financial cost. BOOST aims to assist in the creation of works by the fresh, up and coming artists as well as the seasoned veteran choreographers.
As it emerges as a fixture for Seattle dancers, choreographers, and audiences alike, the BOOST dance festival will strengthen its commitment to produce a highly engaging, diverse, and eclectic show for many years to come. 2013 welcomes new co-director, Kristen Legg. Together Martin and Legg will continue to uphold the vision of the BOOST dance festival and are dedicated to producing the best year yet!
