Han Dai-Yu received his BFA and MFA from the China National Academy of Art. He taught drawing and painting for over ten years in several art schools in China and is currently an Associate Professor at Loyola-Marymount in Los Angeles. Dai-Yu has published five books on drawing and painting. His most recent, Drawing Code, was published in 2009 and a new publication goes to press in April. He has exhibited internationally at the Shanghai Art Museum and Museum of Chinese Painting Institute in Shanghai, the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and the LA Contemporary Art Gallery in Los Angeles and SCOPE Miami. “…one of China¹s hot new crop of neo-post-modernists... His work relies on technical brilliance to convey a more intricate regard for both art and the human condition. A representational figurative artist, Dai-Yu¹s work is a dialogue between contemporary reality and a culture of tradition.” Peter Frank, Art Critic, LA Weekly & The Village Voice
