I am most inspired when presented with new perspectives, be it in the form of music, art, movies, or of course design. To try and present an alternative viewpoint, or to approach from an unexpected angle is what I strive for when creating a design solution.

For my thesis, I address an universal and age-old endeavor, the search for a soul mate. We are bombarded by websites, magazines, phone services, personal ads and gadgets all attempting to quantify the elusive nature of compatibility and capitalizing on our innate need for companionship. My work is a lighthearted, wry and witty exploration of the possibilities available in seeking to quantify compatibility as well as a look at the many other methods employed as we blindly navigate our search for a soul mate.
