Sometimes when I try to explain what I actually do as an interior designer, I say; “it’s like that catch all drawer in your kitchen”. It is a profession that encompasses many different forms of art, design, psychology, architecture, function and ultimately a goal to make a memorable space. As a designer I am attracted to clean lines, textures, materials and eclectic pieces; nothing should ever be overdone or too coordinating.

As a designer I feel it is my obligation to create spaces that are comfortable, functional, and esthetically pleasing. Sometimes this means designing places that are not of my own taste or design preference, because ultimately my designs are based around my clients’ personality and needs. Being open to all ideas is crucial and often the best idea comes about from an all-nighter, numerous Reese’s Pieces and lots of coffee. I can honestly say that I am passionate about what I do. Everyday is a different challenge and everyday I am inspired and new design is created. I love seeing the approval and excitement on clients’ faces and knowing that I help put it there.
