I find it fascinating when someone tells you a little story about how they acquired a certain item. When someone has gotten something that takes on meaning because of the sentiment attached, they become a walking endorsement. I enjoy finding items and giving them meaning in the context of my world. It was this personal interest, and my experience as a collector, that led me to pursue this further in my thesis. Is it possible that an endorsement from an ordinary person could bring a different sense of worth into the shopping experience?
