The artist is the modern day myth maker.
~ Joseph Campbell

Imagine a world in which the human shell
Exists as an irrefutable figure of beauty ~

In which flesh is smooth and perfect
(free from unsightly flaws),
In which all wounds heal
(no matter their depth),
And all scars fade with time.

Imagine a world in which the chronicle of skin
Discloses no more narrative
Than a resting stone ~

In which surface texture is the only truth
(free from past and future),
In which there is no bond between beings
(no matter the need),
And no new forms manifest.

This world is not the world of art ~
Nor is this the world of significance
Or splendour.

My world is a world of blemishes ~
Flawed, yet worthy.

My world is mythos imperfect.
