The Art Department at Cornish College of Art presents WORD, the inaugural undergraduate writing symposium in Art History. This event honors and rewards students who successfully express their unique critical and intellectual perspectives in the written word and showcase research skills based on an assignment in their art history class this semester.
Call for Papers
Students are invited to submit their art history papers no later than Friday, April 6, 2012, in the entrant’s art history class.
First prize: $500. Second prize: $300. Third prize: $200.
The papers selected for awards will reflect the highest standards for college writing and the personal artistic interests of the writer in the context of art history. A juried panel will select the most successful essays and students will be asked to present their papers at a College-wide event on April 17 from noon to 1:30 pm on the 7th floor of the Main Campus Center.
