Leslie Stoner (AR ‘06)
Leslie was selected as one of the featured artists at the 2007 Photo Vision Auction at Photographic Center NorthWest, and the Olive 8 Hotel (scheduled to open late 2008) purchased 336 of her photographs - one for every room! Leslie also exhibited her paintings at ArtsWest Gallery alongside those by fellow Cornish alumna Mattie Iverson (AR '06), and Leslie and Mattie were joined by Diem Chau (AR '02), Sean Hurley (AR '07), and Marcie Myrick (AR '06) in the 15th Annual Center on Contemporary Art (CoCA) Painting Marathon, where artists paint for 24 hours straight then auction off their new work for charity.
Marquis Ludovicus de Soncoeur (MU ‘06)
Lu released his second and third electronica CDs in April 2008, and continues his work as Data Development Manager in the Cornish Music Office.
Michael Owcharuk (MU ‘06)
Michael released his second full-length album,
The Owcharuk Sextet, at Dimitriou's Jazz Alley in January 2008. The group performs original compositions "somewhere between jazz, rock, and chamber music," and features fellow Cornish alumni Beth Fleenor (MU '04), Jakob Breitbach (MU '03), Nate Omdal (MU '04), and Mike Hams (MU '06).
Jane McGehee (AR ‘06)
Jane exhibited new paintings and paper works - which the
Seattle Weekly stated "bring to mind sumptuous sunsets and faraway landscapes" - as part of the two-person
ATmosPHERE at Seattle's Patricia Cameron Fine Art Gallery in February and March 2008.
Christine Longe (TH ‘06)
Christine was part of 5th Avenue Theatre's 2008 Adventure Musical Theatre Touring Company for elementary schools, where they performed
Northwest Bookshelf 2: The Stories Continue, a musical about six children who visit their local library searching the shelves for the perfect book.
