Hyla exhibited works in
The Way That We Rhyme: Women, Art & Politics at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, as well as in
Deliciously Disposable Earth at the Three Rivers Arts Festival Gallery in Pittsburgh.
Rich Lehl (AR ‘93)
Rich and T. Michael Gardiner (AR '71-'73) presented their work in
Personal Narratives, a group show at Pioneer Square's Davidson Contemporary. Rich also showed his paintings at the Packer Schopf Gallery during the Bridge Art Fair in Miami, and starred in the feature film
Stealing Rich, a dark, surrealist comedy about the conflicts of art and commerce.
Robbie Laughlin (TH ‘93)
Robbie presents his "Flashy Trashy" segment every Wednesday on E!'s
The Daily 10. He also appeared on the Style network's
How Do I Look? and in the hilarious short film
Gay Zombie.
Julie Francis (TH ‘93)
Julie released her second record,
Lucky Penny, which she recorded and co-produced with Victor DeLorenzo (founding drummer of the Violent Femmes) and Mike Hoffmann (EIEIO).
Anita West (AR ‘94)
Anita recently returned to the U.S. after living in the Middle East for three years, and, by invitation of the Arab Center of Washington, exhibited her Arab-inspired art at Town Hall Seattle. Anita's art uses the concept of traditional henna patterns and applies it "to that most recognizable of desert features, the camel." The series also includes images of the region's people and plants.
