Heather is artistic director for and vice president of the board of Brooklyn's The Gallery Players, whose mission is (among other things), "to nurture and provide opportunities for theater artists... and to instill the appreciation of theater in future generations."

Margaret Slovak (MU ‘86)

Margaret, a jazz guitarist, is a resident musician in several Portland, OR, hospitals, performing for patients in ICU, oncology, neurology, and trauma units, as well as those patients in hospice care. Her 2nd CD, New Wings, currently receives national and international airplay, and she released her 3rd CD, For the Moment, in Fall 2007. Margaret also continues to compose, paint, and teach guitar privately.

Lisa Halpern (TH ‘87)

Lisa produced and directed a segment of the Seattle Channel's Verve TV show about actress and costume designer Sarah Harlett (TH '92).

John Carlson (DA ‘90)

John is resident composer for the Opera House and Theater in Schwerin, Germany, and recently opened a musical version of Dracula and wrote music for the play Konig drosselbart. He also toured Moscow over the winter with his jazz/electronic/drum 'n' bass duo, CarMen.

Dan Webb (AR ‘91)

Dan presented his photographic documentary, Little Cuts, at the Western Bridge Gallery. As described by Sheila Farr, art critic for the Seattle Times: "The sculptor first photographed a block of wood, then proceeded to carve. As the sculpture transformed from block to youthful human head to death mask and beyond, Webb shot 40 pictures. By the end, his sculpture disintegrated to nothing. In the middle of the room, a Plexiglas box holds all the remaining sawdust, like ashes in an urn."
