Admitted Students 2010

Congratulations on your admission to Cornish College of the Arts! One of the most important things you can do is visit campus and experience Cornish first-hand. Even if you’ve visited before you may want to do this again — what’s important to you now might be very different than before you applied for admission.

Important Information

The Start of School

The school year for new students begins with Orientation on Thursday, September 2. Orientation continues until the first day of class, September 7. Music and Theater students will need to be on campus Wednesday, September 1 for placement auditions to determine some first semester classes. Orientation on Thursday is mandatory for everyone.

Tuition Deposits

To confirm your space in this fall’s class you must return the Intent to Enroll Form and $250 in tuition deposit. Once we receive your deposit, we’ll send you detailed information about our New Student Registration and Housing Workshops and other information you need to begin your studies at Cornish. The tuition deposit is non-refundable after May 1, and is applied towards your first semester tuition.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

The Office of Financial Aid is mailing out award packages to new students daily. For us to complete and mail your award we must have a complete FAFSA on file and we must have received any supplemental documents we requested. If you believe your FAFSA is complete and you have responded to any requests for additional information but still have not received your award please contact your Admission Counselor immediately.

Housing

The residence halls will be available for move-in on Wednesday, September 1. Your placement in the residence hall will not be secured until the $300 housing deposit and the application for student housing is received. If you meet the exemption criteria and plan to live off-campus, our general advice is to begin researching housing options in June to secure a place by the end of July. If you have decided you will be attending Cornish this fall and want to do some preliminary work now, you can correspond with potential roommates via our Housing Forum and direct any questions you may have to your Admission Counselor.

To use the Online Housing Forum admitted students must log-in using the link at the top right of our online Forums page. If you have not logged-in before — use the Register Here link to create a log-in.
