Let's keep our students safe.

Room Reservations

With the increasingly heavy use of classroom spaces for meetings, presentations, events, and classes, the following protocol is in place to ensure we can all effectively share our space resources. This includes spaces at MCC, Notion Building, The Annex and 9th Avenue Studios. Reserving classroom spaces is available for staff, faculty and students.

Protocol

Reserving a Space

To inquire about reserving a space or to request room availability grids for specific weeks, contact Carlie DeBuysscher in Registration & Records at 206.726.5061.

Responsibility

You (the person making the room reservation) are the designated point person for your activity. You are responsible for making all arrangements for room access, set up, strike, clean up, security, technology, catering and licensing.

Room Set Up

If you require special room set up (chairs and tables), work directly with Operations. Make sure you schedule time for all set up and strike requirements when you schedule your event.

Special Building Access

Access to some of the buildings is restricted at certain times and on weekends. If you need special access, work directly with Operations and/or Security. Investigate your needs prior to the event.

Technology Set Up

If you require a technology set up, work directly with Information Technology. A/V equipment provided by IT includes: projector, speaker set-up, microphone, laptop loaners, and conference telephone. Schedule set up for your technology needs with the IT Department at least five days in advance. IT can also provide training on how to use the equipment.

Cleaning

Clean up after your meeting/event. This includes picking up trash, clearing away papers/materials, returning chairs and tables to their original order, cleaning up food or beverages, removing and securing all equipment, etc.

End On Time

Ending on time includes strike, clean-up and returning the room to its standing order. There may be a class using the room right after your event. Encourage students and guests to clean up the room before leaving.
