About Cornish

National Advisory Council

Cornish College of the Arts National Advisory Council

In 2011, Cornish College inaugurated the National Advisory Council with three major goals in mind:
  1. extend the VISIBILITY of the College outside of Seattle
  2. discuss major STRATEGIC THEMES for the College and get outside perspectives
  3. form a distinguished THOUGHT COMMUNITY composed of education and cultural leaders

The National Advisory Council is convened to have wide-ranging conversations – about Cornish and beyond Cornish. The Council has grown to become an international association of 30 members that acts as a leadership group to inspire Cornish as we move forward on exciting pathways to the future. Panel discussions have illuminated areas of focus aligned with the mission of Cornish to educate artists, innovators, and citizens. NAC panels have dealt with careers in the arts, the global perspective on art-making, and the artist as catalyst for social change.
