Establishing a strong foundation of support
Private foundations (and government support) help Cornish serve a student body that is diverse, in a dynamic learning environment that meets our mission of providing students aspiring to become practicing artists with an educational program of the highest possible quality in an environment that nurtures creativity and intellectual curiosity, while preparing them to contribute to society as artists, citizens and innovators.
Strategic philanthropy provides flexible funds to address the College’s greatest operational needs, scholarships for talented students who require financial support, resources for curricular enhancements and investments in capital expansion.
Grants from foundations and the public sector also provide vital support for public programs such as acclaimed artists-in-residence, thought-provoking exhibitions and community development projects that have characterized Cornish over the last 100 years.
Cornish seeks partnerships with institutional funders who share our commitment to excellence in higher education, opportunities across all sectors and a focus on innovation in the arts.
