Corporate giving and sponsorship
We are fortunate to be located in a city and region that is home to major global organizations and brands that represent creativity, innovation and a commitment to human health and wellbeing. All of these are an important part of what we reinforce with our students every day at Cornish – in fact, it gets to the heart of our mission, to prepare students to contribute to society as artists, citizens and innovators.
Cornish is also very proud of the role we have played in making this region culturally rich, a key ingredient to any thriving economy. When Nellie Centennial Cornish founded the Cornish School of Music in 1914, Seattle didn’t have much by way of arts organizations or a cultural ecology. Her pioneering spirit and vision for bringing contemporary artistic sensibilities to Seattle is an essential thread in the current cultural fabric of the region.
With this mutual interest in keeping our community vital and thriving, Cornish seeks support from the corporate community. Key opportunities for partnership include:
- Corporate sponsorship of key events that are community-based with targeted audiences. These include Cornish Celebrates an Evening of the Arts, Backstage Benefit, Expo – Annual Art + Design BFA Exhibition and, Our Creative Society.
- Corporate underwriting and sponsorship of the artistic season at Cornish, including a full season sponsorship or underwriting of key programs including The Cornish Music Series, Seattle Jazz Experience and the annual exhibitions series.
- Named scholarships and program initiatives that support financial aid and academic programming.
- In-kind support in the form of materials and equipment needed by the College.
In addition to the above, we seek to engage our students with companies looking for talented and creative interns in a number of different fields.
